I think God must have been in a really bad mood decided to come up with something called math to trouble us! I’ve spent hours working on this algebra problem which relates to lesson plan for faction multiplication grade 6 through 8 and I still can’t crack it . I’m particularly having problems with algebraic signs, syntehtic division and equivalent fractions. Can anyone throw some light on how to go about solving such problems? I’ve tried various means that I could think of, but none helped. I need some urgent guidance now. Anybody?

Can you please be more descriptive as to what sort of guidance you are expecting to get. Do you want to get the fundamentals and solve your math questions by yourself or do you want a instrument that would give you a step-by-step answer for your math assignments ?

It is good to know that you wish to improve your math and are taking efforts to do so. I think you should try Algebrator. This is not exactly a tutoring device but it offers solutions to math problems in a very descriptive manner. And the best thing about this product is that it is very user friendly. There are several demos given under various topics which are quite helpful to learn the subject. Try it and wish you good luck with math.

I understand. My concepts are quite clear, but this particular set seems to be very tough. A little help would do me a lot. Please give me the URL to it.

monomials, side-angle-side similarity and triangle similarity were a nightmare for me until I found Algebrator, which is really the best math program that I have ever come across. I have used it through several math classes – College Algebra, Pre Algebra and Pre Algebra. Just typing in the math problem and clicking on Solve, Algebrator generates step-by-step solution to the problem, and my math homework would be ready. I really recommend the program.
